Privacy Notice

01Who we are

SBQ Group (“SBQ”, “we”, “us”) is a Rwandan company based in Kicukiro, Kigali, operating three divisions: SBQ Real Estate, SBQ Creative and SBQ Events. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and deliver our services.

• Details you give us: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the division or service you are interested in, and the content of your message or brief.
• Brief details: for creative and event briefs, information such as budget range, timing, attendance, required services and any links you share.
• Technical and context data: the page you submitted from, campaign parameters (for example utm_source), a one-way hashed version of your IP address and your browser user-agent string. The hash lets us apply spam and abuse limits without storing your IP.
• Consent record: the exact wording of the privacy statement you accepted and the time you accepted it.

03Why we use it

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to prepare proposals and quotations, to manage properties and projects you engage us for, to keep records of consent, and to protect our forms against spam and phishing. Where you have agreed, we may also send occasional service updates; you can opt out at any time.

04Legal basis

We rely on your consent for enquiry forms and any marketing, on the performance of a contract where you become a client, on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of our website, and on legal obligations such as tax and accounting record keeping.

05Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, our customer relationship platform, Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection, and Google Analytics for anonymous traffic measurement. Property enquiries may be shared with the relevant landlord, developer or seller strictly so your request can be actioned.

06Analytics and personal data

Our analytics setup measures pages, events and conversions only. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or message content to any analytics platform.

07How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you become a client, in which case records are kept for the length of the engagement plus the retention period required by Rwandan law. Consent records are kept for as long as the related data exists.

08Your rights

Under Rwanda’s Law No. 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email hello@sbqrw.com and we will respond within one month.

09Security

Data is stored on managed, access-controlled infrastructure. Only authorised SBQ team members can view enquiries, and access is limited by role. SBQ will never ask you for passwords or payment card details by email.
